MANAGER, CRUDE OIL ACCOUNTING - DENVER - $90-100K)

Denver, Colorado Oil & Gas Company has an immediate opening for a Manager of Operational Accounting within the Crude Oil Industry.

Salary Base:  $90-100K, plus excellent benefits
Relocation Assistance Provided.

The selected Manager of Operational Accounting will be responsible for the management of crude oil accounting operations including:

  • General Ledger
  • Revenue
  • Revenue Disbursement to Joint-Tariff Partners
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounting for Pipeline Loss Allowances
  • Line-Fill Accounting
  • Committed Shipper Ship or Pay Billings
  • Incremental/Deficient Barrel Accounting
  • Inventory Transactions 


The Manager will also be responsible for assisting with/providing information for financial reporting, both internal and external (FERC and SEC) as well as for budgeting and forecasting the Crude Oil Pipeline Operations of the business.

 

As the leader, you will need to develop a commercial and technical understanding of the physical assets, products, and services; and will need to team with many organizational departments to accomplish individual, departmental, and company goals. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience actively managing an accounting   environment, including crude oil accounting.
  • Proven track record of hiring, evaluating and development of accounting professionals and clerical help.
  • Understanding the accounting and reporting of transactions involving crude oil transportation.
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • General understanding and demonstrated ability with computerized accounting systems, financial modeling, budgets, operations analysis, and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong experience with oil GAAP and FERC accounting.
  • Experience building operational accounting, reporting and analysis functions and interfacing with corporate accounting, clear and effective communications.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    (2) PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEERS - Corpus Christi - To $130K

    Texas refinery looking for two Process Control Engineers to support the ongoing operations and maintenance at the Corpus Christi Refinery.

    We're looking for:
    Process Engineer: 2-5 years' in refining or chemical industry
    Senior Engineer:  8-12 years' in refining or chemical industry.

    The positions impact the continued throughput of refinery processing units by ensuring process controls and control system are operating safely and effectively in such a manner as to improve unit stability and economic performance.  

    Responsibilities:

    • The primary responsibility is the development, implementation, and maintenance of the assigned operating area, including DCS-based controls and advanced process control (APC) applications based elsewhere.
    • The secondary responsibility is to assist in control system maintenance, troubleshooting and/or upgrade as circumstances may require.

    Requirements:

    • Must have a BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, plus 2 years' of process control or related experience in the refining/chemical industry.
    • Need a basic understanding of process control theory, practices, and techniques.
    • Computer literacy including programming.
    • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card).
