Machinist – CNC 4 -Lead

immediate opening for an experienced Machinist – CNC 4 – Lead

The CNC 4 Lead will be responsible for assisting the Shop Supervisor
in daily operations of the machine shop.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, job setup, training,
gage calibration, CNC program revision and flow of product through the machine
· Provide the CNC
operator(s) gages, programs, drawings, inspection sheets, protectors, setup material,
and inserts for the next job scheduled on a
· Capable of
obtaining information from the VAM I-Key.
· Work with other
machinist to reduce setup times, improve quality, increase production and
properly maintain machines.
· Ability to set-up
all gages that the Facility is currently licensed to
· Check product
molds or contour tracing when inspection personnel are not promptly
· Assist machinists
in the daily performance and problem solving of their
· Write CNC programs
for parts that are build-to-print.
· Train machinists
in proper procedures for editing CNC programs.
· In the absence of
the Supervisor – Machine Shop, assume the Manufacturing Supervisory
· Verify and approve
Employee hours worked in the time keeping system.
· Responsible for
directing activities from the Daily Manufacturing
· Flexible and
willing to shift priorities, work overtime and assist in areas of the facility
as directed by Supervision.
Insure all Manufacturing stress relief, forklift,
phosphate, weekly maintenance, and crane log books are
· Insure all
Manufacturing 5S Standards are maintained.
· Participate with a
Continuous Improvement Team at minimum, once per
· Responsible to
insure all Employees are following all applicable HS&E policies and
· Successfully complete all training specified related to CNC 4 job
· Perform other
duties as assigned.
· Must have 7 years’
experience in metal removal and metal working on a variety of
· Must have previous
CNC experience at a level 3.
· Looking for a

· Strong computer
skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and
· Qualified to drive
· Strong English
communication skills – written and verbal.
