PAYROLL
& HR MANAGER - OIL & GAS
Fast-growing
Oil & Gas Company has an immediate opening for a Payroll / HR Manager to
join the team.
This
role requires strong Accounting and Payroll, as well as experience with HR
management.
The
selected manager will be responsible for a variety of HR functions including,
but not limited to, new employee orientation, benefits, training, 401K and
payroll processing, compensation, retirees.
The
selected candidate will also be involved in several major projects including finishing
the employee handbook, setting up the company website with the payroll vendor,
manage a worker’s compensation review with the insurance broker, payroll
reconciliations, and assisting with proxy information for executive salary and
benefits.
This

Responsibilities:
· Process
new employees and retiring employees.
· Manage
all aspects of payroll processing (review timesheets, input information into
payroll system, compliance review, maintaining all records, reconciliations,
reviewing year-end W-2s, etc.).
· Follow
SOX procedure for payroll cycle and work with controller and financial manager
to maintain documentation related to payroll and HR.
· Manage
relationship with insurance broker and communicate all insurance-plan
information with employees.
· Maintain
historical data file for total gross salary and benefit cost to company.
· Maintain
system access authorization e-mails and/or files, work with receptionist on
obtaining building cards and access to office
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s
Degree and 6-9 years’ related HR, Accounting, Payroll experience or appropriate
combination of education and experience.
· PHR
or SPHR certification a plus.
· Solid
payroll analysis skills.
· Cash
management skills.
· Familiarity
with SOX and process control.
· Must
be detail oriented.
· Excellent
interpersonal skills.
· Strong
written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient
in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Must
be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
· Able
to demonstrate professionalism, integrity and the ability to work effectively
with all members of the organization.
