(2) PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEERS- Corpus Christi - To $130K

Texas refinery looking for twoProcess Control Engineers to support the ongoing operations and maintenance at the Corpus Christi Refinery.

We're looking for:
Process Engineer: 2-5 years' in refining or chemical industry
Senior Engineer: 8-12 years' in refining or chemical industry.

Thepositions impact the continued throughput of refinery processing units by ensuring process controls and control system are operating safely and effectively in such a manner as to improve unit stability and economic performance.

Responsibilities:

  • The primaryresponsibility is thedevelopment,implementation, and maintenance of the assigned operating area, including DCS-based controls and advanced process control (APC) applications based elsewhere.
  • The secondaryresponsibility is to assist in control system maintenance, troubleshooting and/or upgrade as circumstances may require.

Requirements:

  • Must have a BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, plus 2 years' of process control or related experience in the refining/chemical industry.
  • Need abasic understanding of process control theory, practices, and techniques.
  • Computerliteracy including programming.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card).

    WYOMING

    PIPELINE ENGINEER - Cheyenne - To $110K

    An outstanding Denver headquartered Oil & Gas Company has an immediate opening for a PipelineSystem Engineer to work out of the Company’s Cheyenne, Wyoming offices.

    Salary: $80-110K Base DOE, plus a 15% targeted annual bonus.

    This position will report to the Company’s SEUSA Pipeline Engineering Manager and will be responsible for:

    Providing pipeline engineering, technical operations support, and project technical guidance for SEUSA Pipeline.

    Day-to-day operations & maintenance support, as well as conducting long-term technical studies and providing recommendations.

    Supporting integrity management measures as necessary & overall pipeline maintenance planning.

    Preparing and/or reviewing project designs.

    Participating and/or facilitating hazard assessments and failure analyses.

    The position will be based in Cheyenne Wyoming, working in the office and at field locations. There will be periods of intense activity during downtime maintenance and C&SU. It is also a “safety sensitive” position which will require random drug testing in accordance with DOT regulations. Some business travel will be required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Operations Technical Support
    : hydraulic analysis, surge analysis, pipeline capacity evaluations, design and installation of new connections, managing line relocations and small construction projects, managing routine and emergency repairs, preparation of hydrostatic test plans, establish system set points and operational parameters, maintain system determination studies & profiles, establish priorities for maintenance & associated implementation.

    Business Development: support applicable work teams and initiatives by providing estimates and functional design recommendations, support crude supply and marketing initiatives as necessary.

    Optimization: validate & maintain system hydraulic models, conduct engineering modeling studies to optimize energy usage and capacity utilization, prepare monthly operating plans, champion system KPI’s.

    Risk Management: develop & maintain asset reliability program, apply predictive and preventative maintenance techniques, assist with integrity management initiatives, facilitate RCA as necessary.

    Fiscal Management & Analysis: coordinate scheduling of system downtime for project implementation, charter capital projects, identify & screen major maintenance projects, complete small project designs, provide technical and fiscal feasibility analyses of proposed projects, act as owners’ representative for outside engineering, complete economic analyses to prioritize annual budgeted funds, complete cost estimates. Provide engineering support for project development.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Undergraduate degree in Engineering

    5+ years of pipeline-related engineering experience

    Working knowledge of pipeline engineering standards

    Understanding of PHMSA regulatory requirements

    Understanding of pipeline hydraulics

    Experience with project development/implementation process

    Familiarity with Process Safety principles and risk management

    Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills necessary to develop internal cross functional relationships

    Ability to handle stress due to work priorities and deadlines

    Demonstrated organizational capabilities, including the ability to assess, quantify and schedule tasks efficiently

    Ability to work independently, and contribute to an environment of trust and respect

    Ability to identify opportunities for value added change

    Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities

    Working knowledge of pipeline engineering standards and DOT regulations

    Willing to work in a team-oriented environment and to share information with pipeline peer group

    Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously & prioritize assignments

    Strong analytical abilities to evaluate solutions to problems

    Developed troubleshooting skills.

    Ability to recognize and act on upcoming technical issues, drawing on District resources.
